The GEM (Green Enegy Management)- SILKWAY (the former GEM) 2026 Summer school is at its 17th Edition. GEM- SILKWAY is an Italian project, now involving more than 17 partners all over the world (SILKWAY Network).
The 2026 Canary Islands Edition will be hosted by the Universidad de La Laguna located in the Canary Islands (Spain).
The main theme of the GEM-SILKWAY Summer Schools is Renewable Energy Management and Energy Transition.
To address this topic holistically, a global vision and multidisciplinary international contributions are necessary.
GEM-SILKWAY is aware of the enormous task the world must undertake for the new energy approach, aiming to preserve and protect the planet. To this end, GEM-SILKWAY is ready to contribute to knowledge and dissemination, offering young researchers, students, and professionals:
- A broad overview of energy policies specifically undertaken in Central Asia and Europe.
- The new trends in energy production (renewable and conventional).
- The most relevant issues society must consider to ensure energy for all.
- Artificial intelligence methods for the systematic evaluation of large amounts of data in electricity, to increase grid stability and supply security.
- The presence, both physical and online, of teachers of excellence in their field, ready to share the latest innovations.
During the Summer Schools, in addition to academic colleagues, private companies and public institutions contribute to the debate.
