Joao Bento

João Bento teaches economics at the University of Aveiro (Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism). He received his doctoral degree in economics from the University of Reading. Upon graduation he was a post-doctoral fellow at the Centre for International Business University of Leeds and a visiting researcher in the Economics and Research Department of Banco de Portugal. He also holds a master degree from Universidade de Coimbra and a bachelor degree from Université Catholique de Louvain. He is a researcher affiliated to the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP) and belongs to the research group on competitiveness, innovation and sustainability. Recent co-authored publications include:
