Bento Joao

Foto Bento Joao

João Bento has graduated from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and completed his master at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. He is holding a PhD in economics from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. He is currently a lecturer of Economics at the Department of Economics, Management and Industrial Engineering and member of the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies at the University of Aveiro in Portugal. His research interest focuses on economics and international business and tourism economics. He is currently working in the field of energy economics where he is participating on a joint-research project entitled "The macroeconomic impact assessment of electric hydrogen and hybrid technologies for the transportation sector. Computable general equilibrium analysis and macroeconomic impact assessment for Portugal", and where he is responsible for the macroeconomic analysis. More about his research can be found here:
